Students need sessions at least twice a week to ensure they will close the gap using The Barton Reading & Spelling Program.
My sessions last 50 minutes. I can offer either remote tutoring via Zoom, or in-person at the student's home.
The Barton Reading and Spelling Program is highly structured and explicit, using a multi-sensory curriculum that is research-based and shown to help Dyslexic students. Sessions are available through the summer as well to help students continue towards their goals.
For students who need it, I offer the Foundation in Sounds program prior to beginning lessons with the Barton Reading & Spelling System. Foundation in Sounds is separate from, but works well in conjunction with The Barton Reading & Spelling System. It works to improve your student's auditory memory and sequencing of sounds.

For additional fees I can offer either a screening session or a comprehensive evaluation.
Screening is done with the NeuroLearning app, a test which takes approximately 1 hour and measures the likelihood that dyslexia is affecting your child's learning. It is an excellent tool providing a comprehensive report for parents, to inform my instruction with your student, and/or to include in IEP discussions as needed.
A comprehensive evaluation would involve a longer testing session, about 2-3 hours, with a series of assessments to identify the roots of your child's struggles. You will receive an extensive report analyzing your child's results as well as describing the best intervention and accommodation options.
