Welcome! My name is Carol and I enjoy life in Gresham, Oregon. It's my passion to help struggling students who need a different instruction method, helping them become confident learners.

    My background includes 10 years as an elementary ESL teacher in Oregon public schools. Over time I noticed many students who continued to struggle with reading and writing skills, even after a lot of extra support.

I learned about the Barton Reading & Spelling  System, and saw kids start to soar with it! I have been providing one-on-one tutoring using Barton sincew December 2015. In September 2022 I became Certified in the Barton Reading & Spelling System.
